A team of Nepal police has arrested a wanted criminal by opening fire on Sunday morning. Chhote Lal Thakur of Rautahat district, who was an ex-policeman, and another person accompanied by Trakur have also been arrested with Chinese pistol. It is said that ex police personnel Thakur was absconding with SLR weapon. He has received two bullets on his kneel. He has been admitted at Bir hospital. Police had fired to them in a bid to take them into control from a Sundhara-based guest house on early Sunday morning. A team of Metropolitan Police Crime Division carried out raid at the Lumbini Pahuna Ghar and nabbed the criminals. It is said that the absconding ex -police personnel had been launching various criminal activities in Nepal even staying in neighboring India. </div>

Thousands of people have gathered in the Kathmandu city to form a human chain to protest against violation of right to education of Nepali children and symbolic protest against the Indian blockade . The programme that started around 11 am today is being extensively carried out. Protesting against the violation of rights caused by the ongoing Tarai/Madhes agitation and the unofficial blockade imposed by India, Private and Boarding Schools’ Organisation Nepal (PABSON), National Private and Boarding Schools’ Organisation Nepal (NPABSON) and student unions had organised a human chain demonstration along the 27-kilometre ring road. Holding placards, the students had gathered along the Ring Road saying the Indian blockade and Tarai unrest have seriously marred the students' right to study.</div>

After years of constant eating with the encouragement of her ex-boyfriend and online fans, morbidly obese Patty Sanchez ballooned to 722 pounds. At a point she wanted to be heaviest woman in the world and consumed 13,000 calories per day for several years. But after breaking up with her former partner, she has slimmed to 482 lbs by deciding to change her diet and lifestyle. The 51 year old who is also a mother of 4 said that the ma$sive weight loss has improved both her personal and family life in a very dramatic way.<br />

Patty said, ‘I was tremendous – and I felt like I was dying a slow death.“I realised that the feeding relationship I was in and the squashing was benefiting others, but it wasn’t for me. The weight loss had a lot to do with my break up with my ex – I was being served every meal daily, and when we br*ke up I had to take care of myself. I never feared death before – it was something I never thought about when I was getting bigger and bigger. But when I reached my lowest and couldn’t walk three steps to the bathroom without getting winded I was worried I wouldn’t be there for my four kids and five grand kids. My struggles didn’t come full surface until I became single and had no one to help me and I couldn’t cook for myself, bathe myself, or leave the house – it was very lonely.I started learning how to make my own meals, and chose the food I was craving instead of the food others wanted me to eat to gain weight. I cook myself salads, chicken, stir-fries and try to eat very few crabs through the day. I have more control over what I eat now and I feel so much better.’<br />

Patty was so heavy that she should not even walk around her home or bathe herself. But now with the help of her two sons she is making a hu*ge progress. She has putting down thousands of calories from her daily food and also light exercise.</div>

She is a young women but she is not able to do things that she wants. She is always bounded by sitting in a wheel chair. Not only that she has not got married because of her disability and she is also very sad because of it. She always imagines herself getting married and how her husband would look like.</div>

According to an intelligence report prepared by foreign agencies and shared with Indian agencies, fighters from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh as well as certain countries like Nigeria and Sudan are considered inferior to Arab fighters. There appears to be clear hierarchy wherein the Arab fighters are preferred as officer cadre and provided better arms and ammunition, equipment, accommodation and salaries.<br />

Indian, Pakistani and African fighters are also considered less motivated and therefore are generally "tricked" into carrying out "suicide bombings", the report says. It describes how: these fighters are likely to be given an explosive-laden vehicle and asked to go near "the target and call a certain number" for further instructions. However, the phone call activates a "pre-set mechanism" triggering an explosion, the report says.</div>

Nepali feature film, Kabaddi, has been bestowed with the National Film awards as the best film of the year.President Ram Baran Yadav distributed awards to filmmakers in eight different categories during the award ceremony organised at the president’s office, Shital Niwas, on Tuesday.Similarly, writers Ram Babu Gurung and Upendra Subba were awarded best writers for the same film that has actors Dayahang Rai, Nischal Basnet and Rishma Gurung in the lead roles.</div>

Police reportedly resorted to firing after the cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front obstructed the highway. The clash erupted at around 10:00 pm when police tried to clear the highway for passenger vehicles. They were escorting passenger vehicles. The deceased have been identified as Birendra Ram (18) of Batanaha and Nageshwar Yadav (27) of Madhepura-9 of Jamuni. The ones who are seriously injured have been taken to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institution of Health Sciences for treatment. Following the incident, the District Administration Office imposed an indefinite curfew from the Koshi barrage to Bhardaha, Kanchanpur, Rupni and Kadmaha road-section along the East-West highway and in the district headquarters Rajbiraj, according to Superintendent of Police Bhim Prasad Dhakal at Saptari District Police Office. Meanwhile, the demonstrators have set ablaze a motorcycle in Rupni of Saptari this morning. The rider with the motorcycle (SA 4 PA 5311) was on his way towards Rajbiraj from Gaighat when the incident took place, police said. The motorcycle has been completely gutted by the fire.</div>
