Nepal’s earthquake caused severe damaged including 9,000 people have lost their lives. Around 22,000 people injured, six lakh, two thousand, five hundred ninety two housed are totally smashed and over 2,84,882 houses have partially damaged. 6,465 government buildings have been damaged. 6 month after the quake still recovery process has not begun from the government side. Government was able to distribute 15 thousand rupees per family 4 month after the quake. Victims are approved for 2 lakh per family to rebuild the house, but government has a very lengthy process making victims very difficult receiving money. Earthquake resistance houses should be built for victims. Nepal Government lunched a large scale relief operation aftermath of the disaster with support from humanitarian partners over 100 search and rescue teams arrived in Nepal for 24 hour services. Over 450 aid organizations responded. As the earthquakes affected predominantly remote mountain villages, rescue and humanitarian operations took place in extremely challenging terrain. As of 15 September, a total of 120 sites continue to host 11,700 households (58,690 people) in 13 districts. Return for displaced families is hampered by destruction of homes, loss of livelihoods and necessity to relocate mountainous settlements due to active landslides. From October to December, humanitarian operations will be gradually integrated into recovery and reconstruction plans and coordination mechanisms of government line ministries and to per-earthquake arrangements.
