Chiranjeevee Pokhrel for DC Nepal, November 22, 2015 – Some criminals involved in different criminal activities including prostitution have been arrested by Nepal Police, Itahari. The criminals were in rent at different localities of Itahari and were channelizing the customer network through cell phone contacts. Nepal Police, Itahari has arrested five girls and three Indian citizens involved in the prostitution crime. They were caught red hand in Itahari Guest House. Before this incident, the prostitution had not been found at Itahari for a long period. This incident has alerted the police, administration and local public at Itahari. “When the police got some suspicion of the crime, special team of police was mobilized for the investigation.” says DSP Om Adhikari. He adds, “Nepal Police is operating against prostitution nowadays. As these people felt difficulties in committing prostitution staying in fixed hotels, they started staying in different localities as tenants and contacting the customers using cell phones.” Except this, one more rapist, who had escaped after raping a thirteen year girl, has been come under police custody. The victim was going to play Deusi on 27th Kartik 2072. The culprit Prabin Rai from Itahari 24 had threatened the child, raped her and escaped.
