President Bhandari arrived in the holy town boarding a helicopter this morning.She was accompanied by Chief of the Army Staff of Nepal Army, General Rabindra Chhetri, Minister for Land Reforms and Management Ram Kumar Subba and the Chairman of Nepal Guthi Sansthan.As per reports, the motorcade of Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari was attacked in Janakpur by Madhesis who also threw a petrol bomb at a temple. Nepal President Escapes Unhurt After Mob The recent disturbance in the festival celebration, which is attended by a large number of Indian pilgrims every year might affect religious tourism and centuries-old cultural relations between Jankapur and Ayodhya (UP-India). It has also affected the local business.<br />
There is fear among locals and businessmen that such large number of religious tourists may not come from the next year.The incident is likely to increase threats by protesters on Hindu religious priests serving in the temple. arai Human Rights Defenders (THRD) Alliance expresses its concerns over the injuries of around a hundred of persons including pilgrims from Nepal and India due to clashes between protesters and police. The clashes had ensued after the Hon. president Bidya Devi Bhandari’s visit to Janakpur on the occasion of Ram-Janaki Bibah Mahotasava (Anniversary of Ram and Sita Marriage Ceremony) on December 16. We also received reports from the ground about the acts of police thrashing people entering inside houses and private clinics located around the areas of Janaki Temple. Immediately after President Bhandari observed the Pooja and came out of the temple, protesters hurled a petrol bomb and the stage and tent erected in the premises were torched. While the president was walking back from the temple, there was exchange of pelting stones at the temple premises from both protesters from all around and security personnel. Local demonstrators had also hurled stones at the President’s vehicle. In the course of exchanging stones by security personnel, Human Rights Defender Birendra Karn of THRD Alliance sustained minor injuries. During the monitoring of THRD Alliance, we found that security personnel charged batons, lobbed over 50 rounds of teargas shells, and opened four rounds in the air. The clash between the protestors and the police had continued for around four hours. All the injured are receiving treatments at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital and local private clinics in Janakpur, district headquarters of Dhanusha.</div>

This week a video of driver carelessly knocking over a couple of children has emerged. The incident took place outside a kindergarten in Guangde, east China. One of the children got straight back up again despite being mowed down by the car and pulled under its wheels . The other child also was successfully rescued within moments. From the incident, both the children has scratches on them but were unharmed.<br />
Reports say that the incident took place on December 2nd morning. A parent was driving the rented car and was identified by his surname Sun. While the children stood in front of the vehicle, he had been parked on the spot. Although it’s not known if they were related, it is thought that they had both just been dropped off by the parent. It can be seen in the video that the boy was giving the girl a helping hand while she was trying to do up her shoe laces. The car started moving and rammed the two children to the ground, as they were bent over the shoes.<br />
It then proceeded to drive over the two children. The boy rolled and turned under the wheel of the car. It soon came to a stop. The boy climbed out from under it as soon as the car stopped moving. The boy also seemed very shocked but his friend was still trapped underneath the rear wheel of the vehicle. The scene was filled with adults. The car had to be reversed slowly in the end to free the girl without injuring her further.<br />
There was little force from the impact because the vehicle luckily was travelling relatively slowly. Local police also stated that the children were unharmed from the inc!*dent and were only left with a few scratches.</div>

He said, ‘In all my years of being a game ranger I have never seen such an encounter, nor do I ever expect to see a repeat of it again. ‘I felt amazed and honored to see such a rare and unexplainable sighting. he impala at no stage showed any signs of distress or fear. Every time the leopard would playfully interact with the baby impala, it would return to the leopard and either sniff its face or push its head against the leopard’s face. A few times the impala would jump away from the leopard and, true to cat form, the leopard would pull it back closer with its claws.’ According to Mr Houy because of lack of killing experience, young leopards sometimes play with their prey and he even believes this may explain the odd encounter.<br />
Mr Houy added, ‘Although this appears to be play, only the leopard was actually playing and not the impala. The impala rubbed faces with the leopard because it’s a newborn and doesn’t know any better. The leopard could have been waiting for the baby’s mother to return and then kill her.’ Houy works for Jock Safari Lodge and says that before the leopard lazily strolled into a bush, closely followed by the impala, the amiable interaction lasted for an hour.</div>

However, due to the Hindu hierarchical caste system, this group was forbidden from following its centuries’ old rituals. This doctrine virtually incapacitated this group and subjected to servitude throughout the modern history of Nepal. Jogi has a distinct identity, own obscured language, religion, tradition, culture and civilization, own traditional egalitarian social structures, traditional homeland and geographical area with oral history and Jogi is exclusively a separate caste group, however, it has not got any identity and recognition from the state. There is no any anthropological-sociological survey/research has been done and no literature about the history and identity of Jogi community is found. The Jogi people are found only in eastern part of Nepal, densely in Oyakjung VDC of Tehrathum, then a few populations in other districts of Eastern Region.</div>

spectacular video has been captured the moment when thousands of wildebeest attempt to make their way across the Mara River in Kenya. The river on the other hand is infested with crocodiles waiting to kill. Before leaping 20 feet into the water, the beasts tumble down the river bank and a cloud of dust kicks up into the air. Most make it to the other side unscathed but some lose their footing breaking their backs and legs when they fall onto the hard ground. The unfortunate ones become the meal of the hungry crocodiles waiting for an easy meal.<br />
59 year old wildlife photographer Robyn Preston said, ‘It was horrifying watching the wildebeest falling to the bottom. Some fell into the river and were either swept away or made it to a sand bank in the middle. From there they were unable to move without crawling along on their front limbs.’ The wildebeests migrate to the grasslands of the Maasai Mara every year by crossing the river. The sheer number of animals forced the migration across the river at this point even though they normally choose an easier crossing. The photographer added, ‘My driver has been in the safari business for many years and said he had never seen anything like it before either. One croc came up and grabbed a calf that had made its way to the sand bank in the middle. It was injured and had no way of escaping the crocks jaws. The calf was still half in the water so was an easy meal. The crocodile dragged it away and drowned it.’<br />
The annual Wildebeest Migration at the Maasai Mara is a natural cycle. It replenishes and renews the grasslands of East Africa. </div>
